Bring a large pot of water to a boil adding a few pinches of salt. Add egg noodles and cook according to package directions.Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef with salt and onion (powder) over medium high heat. Add in mushrooms, if desired. Turn heat down to a simmer and combine sour cream, milk, and cream of mushroom soup. Stir to combine and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Add in the egg noodles and enjoy!
